The Rooftop Concert
Full-length and in cinemas for the first time – the Beatles’ final live performance as a group, the unforgettable rooftop concert on London’s Savile Row.
On January 30, 1969, The Beatles gave a concert on the roof of Apple Corps headquarters at 3 Savile Row, London. The special feature: There was no announcement and no tickets to buy. Only those who happened to be in the area were able to enjoy the surprise appearance of the mushroom caps.
At that time, no one suspected that this concert would also be the group’s last.
The Rolling Stones: SHINE A LIGHT
Martin Scorsese created a stunning memorial to ‘The Stones’ with ‘Shine a Light’. In the fall of 2006, the legendary Rolling Stones gave two unforgettable concerts in the almost intimate atmosphere of New York’s Beacon Theatre.
With passion and dynamism, they let the atmosphere in the venerable walls boil over and once again proved why they are considered the best rock band in the world.
Scorsese had a phalanx of Hollywood’s best cinematographers capture the performances and enriched the excellent footage with interview excerpts. Alongside the Stones, guest stars such as Christina Aguilera, Buddy Guy and Jack White rocked on stage.
